Description
In view of the restlessness among certain sections of the society and the growing fanaticism that has engulfed in the name of religion which has engendered hatred and religious wars (the Crusades, the holy inquisition, the Babri Masjid-Ram Janam Bhoomi conflict), the author feels that, men being naturally equal, did not need in order to manage their affairs, the called discipline forcibly imposed by the self-styled leaders who are virtually deceiving them Men of Euclid, Hippocratis and Al-Razee science like were much more useful than the so the so-called religious leaders Professor Biyi is of the opinion that it is ignorance of one’s own religion, which is the root cause of fanaticism All of us believe in the Oneness of God, the omnipotence of God. The approach to the Divine may differ due to built up blind belief systems and traditions etc.
In the Bhagavad Gita the Lord says: Mankind comes to Me from many roads, and by whatever road they Approach Me, I welcome them, because all roads lead to Me. There is so much commonality in religious worship about which the common people are not aware of. Each one claims to be a Hindu, or a Muslim, or a Jew, or a Christian etc. but no one really knows or understands his own religion, what to talk of learning or knowing about other faiths. This book, therefore aims to bring understanding and harmony in a religious India, and focuses on the approach for Divine Mercy through righteousness, prayer, contemplation and devotion which is better than blindly attacking each other’s faiths and shedding the sacred blood in the name of religion.
