Description

This book gives a rational view that a study of Qur’an reveals that there are two definite sources of knowledge, the inner consciousness of man and outer world of nature called respectively anfus and afaq. A third source of knowledge is often mentioned. It is called ‘days of God’, which means the study of history. But this source of knowledge can be easily brought under the second catagory. In 32:8 (Qur’an), for instance, we come across the following words: (God) gave you hearing and heart. This verse embodies both the categories of sense-perception and inner perception of heart. Our literature is full of discussion regarding the nature of heart and the kind of knowledge it yields.
