Description
The Tarikh-i-Firoz Shahi does not only narrate history but is a part of history itself. The content of this book was written in the period of Delhi Sultanate, originally in Persian by Zia- ud-din-Barani, from the period of Ghiyas-ud-din Balban to Firoz Shah Tughlaq. It was later translated into English by Sir H. M. Elliot. The author of the first part of this book Barmi was one of the companions of Sultan Mohammed-Bin-Tughlaq and hence, the author describes the incidents in detail, both from lived memory and the tales passed down from ancestors.
