Description
This book contains literal translations of Tazkirat ul-abah, which is a rare Persian work on Makhdoom Fakhr-ud-din and his progeny among whom are included the celebrated peers or the heydays of the Mughals, Nawab Abdur Rahim and Nawab Abdul Karim Khan, and their celebrated monuments in the Nidan Mahal Lucknow, Bagh wa Bahar-i-Abbasi, Faiz-ul-Jari and Akbar Insan Aadat along with other families, all in Urdu, and portrays the missing links in the hitherto now known Apparatuses of the Sultanat and the Mughal Empire and the lives and achievements of the local elites and sufis of Bijnor, Lucknow, Kakori and Sandila, U.P., in the socio-political and cultural aspects of these places throughout the Medieval and Modern days down to 1986. Apart from the so far untraced Gulshan-i-Muhammadi, Tazkirat-ul- Asfiyah is the only known source to contain an authentic and accurate History of the above places right from the beginning of the Sultanat period down to the closing years of Emperor Aurangzib as it is based upon the documents and other archival material, which then existed in the Library of the Shaikhzadas of Lucknow in their Pach Mahla (Five Palaces) Library.
