Based on empirical study this book highlights different economic, social and psychological problems the slum dwellers face today, especially in Delhi. The facts reveal that the problems of two communities are same and they do not carry any prejudice against one another and show resentment against the policy of the Government concerning development of their areas, educational facilities for their children, health programs, civic amenities and transport facility. Moreover, they showed some differences on psychological variables namely personality and Mental Health. Hindu respondents showed strong personality characteristics and Muslims’ Mental Health was more positive.
