Description
Sangh Parivar scholars, in order to prove their possession over Babari Masjid Ayodhya since 1855 A.D. have given a fantastic story that there was a dispute over Babari Masjid/ Ramjanmabhoomi Ayodhya in 1855. In this clash over 70 persons were killed on each side, total exceeding 150 dead. On th 28 July, King Wajid Ali Shah set up a tripartite Investigative Committee consisting of Raja Man Singh, Aghae Ali Khan-Chuckledar of Faizabad district and Capt. A.P. Orr. After receiving their report, the King ordered a separation wall to be erected to keep Hindu temple and Muslim mosque worshippers away from each other. 79 persons killed on Muslim side were buried in front of the Masjid, which is known as Ganje-Shahidan. Since then, Hindus have been worshipping the Ramjanmbhoomi inside the compound of Babari Masjid. Sh. M.S. Rana even challenged to accept the Tripartite Investigative Committee report of 1855 which should clinch the issue of Ramjanmabhoomi. He even quoted Michael H. Fisher, a scholar from the University of Chicago. He has referred to the correspondence between King Wajid Ali Shah and Lord Dalhousie, the Governor General, minutes of the meetings held with J. Outram, the Resident of Lucknow. He has also challenged to carefully study the proceedings of the 3-man Committee. So far the story is very convincing. When we got hold of the correspondence and the proceedings referred to by Rana, we had a shock of our life, when we realised that 1855 incident at Ayodhya had nothing to do with Babari Masjid Ayodhya. The incident took place over Hanuman Gurhie vs. Khwaja Huttee Masjid Ayodhya, which is about one Km. away from Babari Masjid. Ball is over to Sangh Parivar court, with regards, we will eagerly wait for their response.
